Sweet Auburn BBQ

Hey y’all !!!  😉
I have lived in Atlanta, GA for 11 years now and I have found some amazing places to eat. Atlanta really does have a lot to offer, night life is a given but don’t please don’t forget about the food. YUMMMMM
That being said I want to speak on a restaurant that one of my best friends introduced me to; Sweet Auburn BBQ
Address: 656 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306
They are not far from clothing shops and little 5 points, so you can really make your visit an ATL experience by exploring the area
.
It is described on the web as a Nouveau-rustic outpost serving smoked meats & sides with eclectic touches, plus inventive cocktails. While that is an accurate description, I want to really describe this wonderful sanctuary of delicious food and hand crafted cocktails.
Atmosphere: casual/stylish/eclectic
This is a place that I always feel right at home; it is very laid back with just the right edge to keep you interested.
I have taken family from out of town here several times and they are always impressed.
Drinks: Hand crafted
There are no bartenders at this bar, they are Mixologists. You can literally taste the different layers of flavors in these cocktails, from sweet to floral to bitter to smokey…. Whatever you like I’m sure their drink menu has something to seduce your taste buds.
And they actually have happy hour Monday-Friday from 3pm-6pm which includes half priced cocktails, draft beer, and appetizers!!!
Food: Out of this world!
When people ask me where to go for BBQ in ATL, Sweet Auburn BBQ is flying out of my mouth almost as fast as the their food goes in. hahahaha but I’m serious
They have fried ribs!!!! So tender with plenty of meat with a taste that reminds you of your favorite memories.
A Korean style short rib sandwich called Southern Seoul and it is mouth watering! Just the right amount of kick and flavor; they really do Korean BBQ right!
The chicken wings!!! ahhhhh some of the best flavored wings I have experienced and they are included in the half off happy hour!!
Just about all of the side items are BANGIN!
Mac and cheese, jerked spiced collars, skillet green beans, hand cut french fries…the list goes on.
And dessert…forget about it, their bourbon pecan pie is a piece of everything good in this world next to a perfect side of High Roads bourbon burned sugar ice cream.
So I could literally go on about this place but I think you get the point. They are the best BBQ I have tasted in the ATL and theresponding prices are more than reasonable.
Check them out if you are ever in the Atlanta area, and if you already live here I  would definitely make it a point to stop in and try them out… You will be happy you did. 😚😉😏
